Verstappen Dominates Qualifying

“Max did a Max lap, and you can’t fault him for that,” Norris said. “It’s just frustrating when you come so close, but overall I’m happy with the weekend and the improvements we’ve made so far.”
Norris also won Saturday’s sprint race, showing that McLaren’s pace is competitive in race conditions as well.
Team Principal’s Comments on McLaren’s Progress
Andrea Stella, McLaren’s team principal, explained that the team is working hard to improve the car’s performance in qualifying. McLaren has struggled to extract the most from the car on a single lap, which has prevented them from fully challenging Verstappen for pole.
“We’ve identified some key areas where the car could be more predictable,” Stella said. “It’s all about getting the right balance and improving the feedback the drivers receive, which is critical for qualifying.”
